From the Genius House Hacks archive.

Plastic shopping bags are still a fact of life in a lot of households, useful for packing lunches or walking the dog even when most of them get recycled back at the store. Here's how to keep the ones kept at home from taking over a drawer or pantry shelf.

Stash a Few in a Prescription Bottle

Folded down small, several plastic bags fit neatly into an empty prescription bottle, making it easy to always have one on hand in a purse, tote, or glove box.

Repurpose a Tissue Box as a Dispenser

An old tissue box or wipes container makes a tidy bag dispenser, with different sizes sorted for different purposes — larger bags for the kitchen trash can, smaller ones for the bathroom or recycling.

Make a Bottle Dispenser

Cutting the bottom off a 2-liter bottle and feeding bags in through the cut end lets one be pulled out through the top opening whenever it's needed.
