From the Genius House Hacks archive.

Plastic wrap seals food tighter than aluminum foil and won't react with anything, which makes it great for storage — except for the sticky tangle it turns into every time it's pulled off the roll.

Store Plastic Wrap in the Freezer

Keeping the box of plastic wrap in the freezer instead of a kitchen drawer makes it much easier to handle: the cold reduces the static electricity and adhesive stickiness that make the wrap cling to itself. It regains its normal stickiness within a couple of minutes out of the freezer, or after about 10 to 15 minutes if there's no freezer space to spare for the box itself.
