Windex is mostly known for mirrors and windows, but the bottle has a couple of other uses worth knowing about.

Remove Stains With Windex

On anything but delicate silk, a light spray of (ideally uncolored) Windex left to sit for about 15 minutes can lift ketchup and red wine stains; blot with a clean cloth, rinse with cold water, then wash as usual.

Cut Grease With Windex

Windex softens built-up grease on range hoods, fans, and light fixtures. Spray liberally, let stand about 10 minutes, wipe clean, and rinse thoroughly on any surface near food prep to clear off cleanser residue.
