While an apple a day might keep the doctor away, this delicious fruit can help keep you looking good on the outside as well as feeling good on the inside. Let's learn how to use apples to pamper ourselves from our skin to our hair.

Brighten dull skin with an applesauce lotion

Applesauce's high vitamin C content brightens skin while removing built-up dead, dry cells to bring out your skin's youthful radiance. Pairing it with honey and coconut oil leaves skin glowing. Mix 1/4 cup applesauce, 1/2 Tbs. of honey and 1 Tbs. of coconut oil and apply to clean skin on the face for 10 minutes, then rinse.

Smooth wrinkles with an apple peel mask

Apple peel's vitamin A encourages the production of skin-firming collagen for a crease-free complexion. Peel a 1/2-inch section of an apple and apply the peel, flesh side down, onto skin. Let sit for 10 minutes, then remove and rinse.

Plump thinning hair with apple extract

According to researchers, topical use of apple extract's procyanidin increases hair growth by 71 percent and thickens the diameter of strands by 79 percent in six months, but you can see similar results taking the nutrient in supplement form since it also fortifies hair at the root, reducing excessive shedding for fuller-looking locks.

Reduce body acne with an apple cider vinegar wash

Apple cider vinegar's anti-inflammatory properties reduce breakout-related redness, while its acetic acid removes the dirt and oil that clogs pores. Mixing it with skin-cleansing castile soap and antibacterial tea tree oil speeds the acne-clearing results.
