A bowl of chicken soup is more than comfort food: chicken brings immunity-boosting zinc, and the vegetables add anti-inflammatory nutrients. Having a bowl before bed may even help with falling asleep faster and sleeping more deeply.

Unplug Appliances When Not in Use

TVs, cable boxes, game systems, and other small electronics draw power even when switched off, so unplugging anything used infrequently, or plugging it into a switched power strip, adds up to real energy savings.
