Apple cider vinegar's antibacterial properties make it useful well beyond the kitchen, including as a homemade toothbrush cleaner: mix half a cup of water with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and two teaspoons of baking soda, then leave the head of a toothbrush in the mix for 30 minutes before rinsing well.

Trap Fruit Flies

Pour some apple cider vinegar into a cup and add a few drops of dish soap so that any trapped flies sink, for a cheap and effective fruit fly trap.

Make an Apple Cider Vinegar Mouthwash

Apple cider vinegar's antibacterial properties may help with bad breath. Dilute well with water, about one tablespoon per cup, since the vinegar's acidity could otherwise damage teeth.
