I used to buy a new pack of disinfecting wipes practically every week, until I actually looked at what's in them, and what they cost per wipe.
Now I keep a stash of reusable ones I mix up myself in about five minutes. They work just as well on counters, doorknobs, and light switches.
The trick is getting the ratio right so they don't dry out or leave streaks. Below is how I do mine.

Combine 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup white vinegar, and a teaspoon of dish soap in a jar. Add ten to fifteen drops of rubbing alcohol if you want extra disinfecting power.
Cut an old t-shirt or a stack of paper towels into squares, then pack them into an empty wipes container or a wide jar, and pour the solution over the top until they're saturated but not swimming.
