Once they're clean and dry, apply a silicone-based lubricant to the tracks. Avoid greasy products that attract dust. Your windows should slide much more easily, and you'll put less strain on the locks and hardware.

Stop Squeaky Door Hinges
That squeaky door doesn't always need a new hinge. Remove the hinge pin, wipe away any old dirt or grime, then apply a small amount of household oil or silicone lubricant before sliding the pin back into place. Open and close the door a few times to work the lubricant in, and chances are the squeak will disappear.
